Here is the video (including ISL) of Sinéad Burke from today’s Home School Hub.
Sinéad is an activist, designer and educator. Sinéad has given a TED Talk, spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos and she was the first little person to feature on the cover of British Vogue.
Sinéad makes every attempt to advocate for the inclusion of all and to amplify the voices of the most marginalised members in our communities.
Sinéad talks about her decision to become a teacher, her love of fashion and the importance of dreaming big.
Along with the IDS we have been campaigning for ISL access for an educational programme ‘Home School Hub‘ on RTE for all our deaf children during lock down. We are delighted to say that starting from today RTE will be providing ISL access to HOME SCHOOL HUB. This is a fantastic programme that delivers 1st class to 6th class curriculum into all children’s homes. Please click the link below to read more information about the programme.
Happy Easter to all our students, staff, family and friends. We wish you all a safe, relaxing and Happy Easter. Remember to keep safe and stay at home.
Message from Fr. Paddy and the Board of management
Dear all,
Normally at this time we would be looking forward to the Easter break, but as we know we are living in very unusual times.
Firstly, I hope you are all keeping safe and that adapting to our new way of living has not been too traumatic for you and your families.
Secondly, on behalf of the Board of Management I want to say a very sincere ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone, for the commitment, dedication and the hard work that is going on every day and also for the way in which pupils, teachers, school staff and families have adapted to using new technology and are cooperating together in a spirit of care and concern for the benefit of all.
Our school has as its patron the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. This little family had, in their own time, to face great difficulties, but with love, concern and through supporting one another they overcame those difficulties. May I wish you all every blessing at this very special time of the year when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I am attaching a prayer to the Holy Family we might pray each day:
Jesus, Mary and Joseph. we offer you our day. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, guide us at work and play. Help us to love one another, to keep each other safe. May we follow your example in all we do and say Jesus, Mary and Joseph We offer you our day. Amen
As we begin our Easter break, I would like to express a huge thank you to you our parents who have been so supportive as we reached out, over the last three weeks, to teach and support your son or daughter from a distance. Thank you for the huge effort and time you put into enabling communication and supporting learning at home.
I am very proud of our teaching and SNA team who have worked so creatively and tirelessly to ensure the continuity of education for your child. Holy Family has certainly answered the call and in continued partnership with you, I have no doubt that we will succeed in our mission despite the current challenges.
On behalf of the Holy Family School Community, I would like to offer our best wishes to you all during these strange and difficult times. We sincerely hope that you and your families will get some rest over the Easter Holidays, even if the break is more confined than normal.
And I look forward with great optimism to news of a date for our return to Holy Family.
Best regards,
Eimear

Due to the current situation of the Corona Virus Covid 19, Holy Family Golf Classic is postponed until further notice. Thank you to the Fundraiser Committee especially Soibhan Corcoran (Parent Association), Geoffrey McCormack, Aileen McCabe and Maggie Owens for all their hard work on this fundraiser and special thanks to everyone for their support. We have contacted everyone who have committed to playing a round of golf and sponsoring a tee box to offer them a refund or a referral to a future date. Hopefully we will have a successful tee off when all this is over.
