I attach my draft Admissions Policy for your attention.
As per circular letter 0007/2020, all boards of management are required to draft a new admissions policy in accordance with the Admissions to Schools Act 2018 .The staff & parents of the school must be consulted before the draft is submitted to the Patron for approval. The deadline for this submission is the 30th April 2020.
The Department issued a template policy document to all schools for amendment. Therefore the draft policy I am sending is generic to all schools and most of the content is mandatory. The sections in green text were edited by me for our school context. As our school is different to mainstream, I consulted with the CPSMA & Special Education for advice on how to amend our policy.
