A few weeks ago the Guards from Cabra Garda Station came into the Primary School to give a talk about Safety Online. The children had lots of great questions which the Guards answered – no matter how difficult! On Friday Garda Rory popped by with 2 Hampers full of treats! We are going to raffle them off in the coming week. Thank you so much Cabra Garda Station!
Happy World Kindness Day to all the staff in Primary School from 5th/6th Class. What a lovely surprise coming into work to see this. It’s warming to know the students care for staff as much as staff care for the students during these difficult days.
Thank You 5th/6th Class from all the staff at Primary.
It is important to be kind to yourself as well! What random act of kindness are you going to do today?
Aine’s class had great fun today with these challenges! They were great for encouraging thinking and problem solving.
Patricia’s class made 3D shapes for Maths week. Being able to physically see the difference between a shape with three sides and one with five helps with number sense, a key to all math success. Well done to everyone!
Orla’s class enjoying Maths week outside as well as inside!
Well done to the teachers, SNAs and students involved. What an exciting fun interesting week! “There should be no such thing as boring mathematics.” – Edsger Dijkstra. Would you agree?
We celebrated the annual Sports Day virtually. Starting off the week with a homemade obstacle course and beat the teacher competition. A daily sports challenge was sent to parents to complete at home such as a scavenger hunt, Yoga poses, etc.
We received photos and videos of students attempting the sports challenges! Well done to everyone for participating and for those who didn’t try it out yet, it’s not too late! Get everyone in your family involved.
The winners are Lena, Bobby, Sophia, Mia and Gabriel! Well done everyone!! You are amazing! Hope you all had fun!
