Citywide Reading for Children Campaign

Category : Primary

Today, Katie, Brenda and Philips’ classes visited Cabra Library as part of the Citywide Reading for Children Campaign. At the library, the children met with an Irish author, Patricia Forde. The children listened intently as Patricia informed them all about when her love for writing began, and how important it is to nurture your creativity and imagination.

Congratulations to one of our students, who won a signed copy of Patricia’s new book, Bumpfizzle the Best on Planet Earth, for his amazing coloring.

The Citywide Reading for Children Campaign is hosting free events across Dublin city throughout the months of January, February and March. More information regarding the campaign and free events can be found on http://www.dublincityofliterature.ie/

Lord Mayor’s Christmas Party 2018

Category : Post Primary , Primary

Not a dry eye in the house

On Sunday 9th December nine students from Holy Family Deaf Choir (Junior and Senior) performed in the Round Room of the Mansion House Dublin.  Some of the songs we performed were Snow is Falling, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Let it Go just to mention just a few of the songs.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as we brought the 500 strong audience to their feet applauding to us.  Thank you to our Lord Mayor Niall Ring for the invitation and giving us this opportunity.  Hopefully we will be back again next year.
