Contemporary Drama with Shane O Reilly & Roy Maguire

Well done to our First Years & Second Years who have started the DVD/Video Production JCSP Cross-curricular Statement with Shane O Reilly and Roy Maquire. We invited Shane O Reilly, a well-known actor, and CODA which means a child of a deaf adult. The students loved working with Shane today as he was able to communicate in ISL with them. They explored drama and expression by using gestures, facial expressions, and body language. They acted out famous scenes and did a lot of activities in improvisation, and contemporary drama. It was fantastic to see students really expressing themselves more and gaining more confidence. We were also delighted to have Roy Maguire involved in today’s drama workshop as he filmed and recorded the students’ experience in acting and interviewing. Well Done to all the students and to their teachers Mr. Sean Herlihy and Ms. Lorraine Creed. A Fantastic JCSP Initiative!
