I hope everyone is safe and well during this difficult time.
Students, I know you are worried about your school work and are missing your friends, and everyone in our school community.
But your health and safety is more important than your education so it is so important that at home you continue to wash your hands and do not meet up with friends or people outside your family home.
This emergency will pass but until then, we have a plan to continue your school work on line.
Each of your teachers (pre-school & primary) and subject teachers (post primary) will be in contact with you or your parents sending and receiving work through email and Google Classroom, etc. A video will be posted on the website to explain to post primary pupils how to log on to Google Classroom.
Just like going to school it is important that you check in with your teachers each day and like in school. I am responsible to ensure that you are “attending” or learning each day.
There is a lot of schoolwork that we will not be able to provide on line but over the next couple of weeks we will be giving advice on other ways of learning.
Log on our website www.holyfamilydeafschool.ie every day for general information while specific information will be provided directly to you through your teacher.
Parents, if you need any further support email firstname.lastname@example.org or text the school mobile 087 9444266.
Remember to stay in touch with your friends in school. Include everyone in your class. No one should be left out or lonely at this time.
Be kind, stay safe and take care.
