Letter to Parents & Guardians

Dear Parents & Guardians,

I hope you and your family are safe and well. We are looking forward to welcoming our pupils back on the first week of September and helping them to re-engage with learning in Holy Family. Indeed, we cannot wait to see our school alive again with joyful and energetic pupils who long to be re-united with their friends and our staff.

We are currently working very hard to make sure that the school buildings and playground will be safe for all pupils, staff and essential visitors.

We want to have school seem as “normal” as possible for our pupils when they return.  In line with Department of Education & Skills guidelines, we will take a balanced and common-sense approach to create awareness about COVID-19 and to do everything practical to avoid the introduction of COVID-19 into our school. Returning to school will mean some new routines and rules to keep everyone safe.  I will be communicating with all parents by  letter, email and via the school website with details of these new arrangements in the next two weeks.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of the summer break and please find attached a letter from Norma Foley, Minister for Education for all parents.
Yours sincerely,
Eimear

PE at Home

Category : Primary

Here are some great ideas from Youtube of things you can do at home to keep you moving and your skills sharp!

If you don’t have any golf clubs, use a dust pan brush, or a sweeping brush.
Living Room Skee Ball! Use any sized balls that you have lying around!
It’s really important that your teddy bears get to exercise too!
A great activity to do on a dry day! Thanks to Cork Sports Partnershsip for this video!

Have a great weekend and send us photos of any PE you do at home! We would love to see them!

Congratulations to Mary Ohle whose submission to the Education Credit Union (ASTICU) has secured €1000 for Holy Family School! The board was very humbled with Mary’s application.
